A few more Christmas Pictures

Here are the kids with some presents. Nick got a Longhorn tee and a Rootbeer Maker. Meredith is wearing a new swimsuit as she always gets a new one at Christmas. Samuel is opening Wii Star Wars Light Sabers.

Thanksgiving in Dallas

We went to Dallas over the Thanksgiving weekend. We stayed at the Gaylord Texan and has this beautiful atrium view from our balcony. The hotel was hosting "The Grinch who Stole Christmas" ice sculptures (9 degrees while walking thru) that was really something to see (lost those pix). The highlight of the trip was the Baylor/Texas Tech game, in which Baylor did well but lost in the end.

Christmas Eve

Just a few pictures Christms Eve before church. I'm sure there will be more tomorrow but I liked these and decided to post them now. My big kids!!

Crazy Cat

Our crazy cat! You never know where you are going to find him! He gets in everything. I have even opened drawers and there he was!

Puckett Sock Hop

Nicholas and his friend Keegan dressed as nerds for the Sock Hop. Anybody can wear a leather jacket, but you gotta be the right kid to pull off a cool nerd! Keegan won a Wii in a drawing that he spent a dollar on!

Ballet Watch Day

Our Cancun trip, October 2009

We stayed at a wonderful resort outside of Cancaun called Zoetry. This was the view of the outdoor lobby, our first view we saw of the resort. It was gorgeous and the service was incomparable. We were asked constantly if we needed anything, which I got used to very quickly.

I just like this picture of our feet as we lay on the covered beds on the beach. We spent one afternoon where our only activity was moving from one lounge chair to the next.

The resort raises baby sea turtles and releases them once a year. All guests were given turtles to release into the ocean in a race. Our turtles were in no hurry to take the plunge so we never won. Sadly, sea gulls were circling above us so you know some of the turtles were going to be lunch.

Iguanas were everywhere. Todd hated them but I thought they were kinda cute!

This was dinner on the last night of our trip. The restaurants were impressive, the kind of fancy food served in several courses. The fancier the restaurant, the less food you get I think. Todd ordered the shrimp appetizer, which consisted of two little shrimp sitting on a tomato slice. They used a dinner plate for that? Anyway, this is us on our 12th anniversary!

Halloween

Here are the kids in their costumes--Nicholas is Harry Potter, Meredith is Ariel in her formal dress and Samuel is Bruiser the Baylor bear. Thank goodness for the wonderful weather after all the cold we've had so far.

Skillet Concert

Here are the boys in their Skillet tee shirts at the concert. We saw Skillet and Hawk Nelson in Lubbock. They were awesome! I wanted to see them just as much as they did.

Nebraska trip Sept 18-21

This was a trip to remember, that's for sure! The purpose was to see Grandma Fleischman. We started out fine for the first five miles, but then we were in *the wreck* on I-40. Dan, my brother, was driving my car and stopped suddenly because a car in front of him stopped. Who stops on I-40???? We barely missed the car in front, but then boom! we were hit from behind and then my dad hit the car behind us. None of the 10 of us were hurt, thankfully. My car needs a new trunk hatch and bumper. Dad's car had front end damage. The car in between us was smushed! We headed back to Dan's to get another vehicle and tried the journey again. We made it to Nebraska finally! So on this trip we wrecked the car and I broke my camera! Bummer! Otherwise it was nice to see the family in Nebraska!

Henry Dorley Zoo

We spent the day at the best zoo around, the Henry Dorley zoo in Omaha. We went with Jenny and Kurt and their kids.

I'm sure I have taken pictures of the penguins on every trip. But they are just too stinkin cute!

You try and get a good picture with this many cousins! It was so nice to spend time with Jenny and Kurt's kids. They are all the same ages as our kids and get along great.

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. You've got to eat here when you go to Disneyworld.

What is so funny about this picture is that this breakfast was at 7:30 in the morning (6:30 our time). Nicholas' hair was sticking up in the back and Minnie is spit-combing it down for him!

This is a dinner show called the Hoop Dee Doo Review. It is in the old west style where they do skits and sing old songs like "Oh My Darling Clementine" (that's the only one I can remember off hand). It's funny and the kids loved it.

At this dinner show it is an all you can eat meal with fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, etc, and strawberry shortcake for dessert! They had to bring more ribs for Sam and Nick because they ate the whole bucket! Or do I mean WORE the whole bucket?

Somehow we got the center table at the show. Here is a song where the actress sings to Todd and sits on his lap and says "you never told me you were married" and "you told me you were from California!" We had the whole cast dancing circles around our table. Then behind me and Nicholas they sang a duet. It was very embarrassing, but a time we will always remember!
